The City Of Rocks is a pretty cool place! The locals call it “The City”. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here is a full view of the metropolis from the top of Table Mountain.
You can walk or climb in among the rocks for days and not see everything. We were told by a camp host that there were petroglyphs in there, but we never found them.
The City was created millions of years ago by a volcanic eruption. Then over the years, erosion sculpted the rock formations into what you see today.
Michael and Denise were camping here too and we played tunes and did some hiking together.
Sue took these pictures at City Of Rocks. I don’t know how she does it.
Here is a recording of a drumming meditation for you on this Winter Solstice. https://soundcloud.com/user-986986455/city-of-rocks
